Hall Users & Organisations - Emergency Shut-off Procedures
In the event of an emergency, it is important that all hall users and organisations know where to find and safely isolate the building’s main utilities.
These shut-off points are designed to prevent further damage, reduce the risk of injury and allow the emergency services to operate safely.
Before using the premises, all responsible persons should familiarise themselves with:
The location of the main gas shut-off valve,
The location of the main water stopcock, and
The location of the main electrical isolator switch.
Only attempt to turn off utilities if you are competent and it is safe to do so, without putting yourself or others at risk. If in doubt, it is always best to wait for the emergency services and provide them with this information.
Further details can be found below.
The Emergency Gas Shut-Off Valve is located in the car park, approx. 13m to the left of the main entrance.
The main water stopcock is located on the left hand side of the main driveway, approx. 9m from the front gate.
The main electrical isolator switches are located on the right hand side of the Church Vestibule approx. 4m from the front doors.
